First Three Month Favs!

Below are my MUST HAVES for the first three months of little Jude's life. They have helped me so much. I'm sure there is more I could add to this list but these are my favorites.

Boppy Pillow

If you are breastfeeding, you NEED this pillow! It helps position the baby just right. I keep this at the foot of our bed at night so I can easily grab it and breastfeed during night time feedings. It's even great to rest your arms on when bottle feeding as well.

Aden & Anais Blue "Oh Boy" Muslin Swaddles

These swaddle blankets are great if you have a summer baby. You want to keep them warm but don't want to overheat them and since this fabric is super thin yet super soft, you get to keep your bambino warm without worrying if they are too hot. They come in boy colors, girl colors and neutrals. I have the blue ones with animals on them and they are too cute! Plus? They get softer the more they are washed!

Fischer Price Snugabunny Newborn Rock N Play Soother

When I brought Jude home from the hospital I don't think I even comprehended how much I would have to wake up in the middle of the night to feed him. Since I was breastfeeding, it was a lot easier to have him right beside me. Instead of using our crib (which we still haven't used other than to lay him down on occasion so we can get something around the house done), we opted for this sleeper. I have it next to the bed so I can easily nurse him in the middle of the night without getting up. When he first came home he ALWAYS slept in this. Now we just use it for night time and if we are visiting family we bring it for his naps. It's super soft and super portable and has been a LIFESAVER! He's starting to get a little big for it but I refuse to stop using it until he can't fit in it anymore!

Infantino Swift Baby Carrier
This baby carrier is great for getting things done around the house. The baby can face in or out in it. Right now, I put him facing me but as he's getting better with holding his head up, I've tried facing out a couple times and he's loved being able to look around. I especially like using this when I'm trying to cook or clean. I've even used it shopping at a consignment sale and he slept the whole time. It's easy to put on and get him in and easy to adjust once it's on.

Glider

Jude LOVES being rocked to sleep so this has been a lifesaver when he's cranky and can't seem to fall asleep on his own. It's also really comfy so sometimes I even close my eyes and rest in it while I hold him. I also love to read to him in this. SO COMFY!

Fischer Price Lamb Swing

Jude loves to take naps in this thing! It lulls him to sleep really well. Jude loves the sound of water and there is a setting on this that sounds like a river flowing so it is perfect to help him fall asleep! I put him in this when he was really little and he fell asleep right away. Now, he likes watching the mobile and it is so cute watching his eyes slowly droop until he finally passes out!

Boon Grass Countertop Drying Rack
This thing is genious! I have Dr. Brown bottles and they have so many parts so I love using this drying rack to quickly dry all the parts and nipples. It really is a lifesaver if you don't have a lot of counter space and it's super cute as well. I'm thinking about investing in a second one.

Hand sanitizer

So many people try to touch your kid without permission. I always shove hand sanitizer at everyone. As he's getting older, I try to chill out and not do it as much but when he was just born it was a requirement for anyone touching the baby!

Upspring baby milkscreen test

If you plan on ever going out with your friends for a night of drinking, these are a must! I haven't used them but twice but it's great to have the peace of mind knowing if it is okay to nurse. They are a little pricey but totally worth it!

Similac App

This app has been a LIFESAVER! When Jude first came home, I tracked his diapers, breastfeeding and even his sleep sometimes. Now I just track pumping, bottle feeding and breastfeeding. It times all feedings, helps you remember what side to start on for nursing and track how much milk you get each time you pump. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app. As a new mom, there is so much to remember so it's great to be able to put it in your phone and not have to worry about it.

Fischer Price Discover & Grow Kick & Play piano mat -

This mat is AWESOME! I started putting Jude on it when he was only a couple weeks old. As he started to be able to see things more and gain more control over his arms and legs, he has really had a lot of fun with it. He loves watching himself in the mirror, kicking the keyboard and now he is even starting to bat/grab at the things hanging above him.

  1. We orignally registered for the same lamb swing but then replaced the swing the the bouncer we chose for mamaRoo (4moms.com). We're thinking that if our baby girl doesn't like the mamaRoo we can return it and stil get both items for the same price as the mamaRoo. what do you think? PS check out my blog: http://dontjudgemommy.blogspot.com/ Thanks!

  2. I love our swing and have never used a Mamaroo! Let me know how you like it though. I promise if you get the lamb swing, you will NOT regret it. We still use it and he's seven months old :)
